JKR Pekan has introduced that the Kuantan-Segamat FT12 street is closed to all visitors till January 28. This is because of a sinkhole at Part 102 close to Kawasan Burung Unta, and the street closure will facilitate restore work.
As such, visitors can be diverted to alternate options routes. For these heading from Kuantan to Muadzam Shah, take the federal route FT3 (Kuantan to Endau by way of Pekan) and FT63 (Leban Condong to Muadzam Shah). When you’re heading from Gambang to Muadzam, the choice is FT82 from (Pekan Batu Balek) to the FT3 (Kuantan to Endau).
Elsewhere, the FT3 stretch from Kota Tinggi to Mersing is now satisfactory to all visitors. Nonetheless, motorists are suggested to be cautious particularly at areas vulnerable to flooding. Drive secure.
